HERE'S a police warning: Check your goods before paying the express delivery man.
The warning came after fake delivery men were recently reported across the city, today's Shanghai Morning Post reported.
One suspect was surnamed Ye who allegedly cheated 22,700 yuan (US$3,323) from more than 20 victims in one week by posing as a courier and asking the buyers to pay money before opening their packages, according to police.
Ye, 25, saw vendors selling online shopping information in June and decided to make a killing by allegedly faking invoices, sending worthless goods to buyers before the genuine couriers arrived, police said.
