A worker fell from the 26th floor of a building under construction near the Shanghai Auto Museum in Jiading District yesterday, but didn't fall to the ground thanks to a steel bar at the height of the 25th floor, which pierced his abdomen and left him suspended in the air.
His colleagues later found him and rushed him to a nearby hospital. The 46-year-old worker surnamed Qin remained in critical condition last night.
