Falling Metro scaffold kills 2, injures 4 in Pudong

TWO workers were killed and four others injured when a scaffold collapsed this morning at the construction site of Metro Line 16 in Pudong.
The accident happened about 11:30am when the scaffold fell from the elevated railway near Luoshan Road.
Shanghai safety supervisors said six workers were carried from the scene of the accident and sent to a hospital.
The new line is expected to open to traffic by the end of this year. It will have a high-speed track spanning four stations and trains will have more seats arranged in rows.
