A FAMILY planning hotline set up last July received 50,655 calls last year.
More than half the calls made to the 12356 number were to enquire about subsidies available to families following China's family planning regulations. The Shanghai Population and Family Planning Commission announced yesterday it would expand the hotline into a platform offering advice and guidance.
