Family of three killed in gas poisoning in Putuo

A family of three was found dead this morning in Putuo District and they appeared to be killed in gas poisoning.
The victims, a couple and their son, were found unconscious at 8:16am in their first-floor apartment on Nujiang Road N. and they were pronounced dead in a hospital later, police said.
Neighbors said the couple quarreled a lot. The wife suspected her husband had another woman. Their son, 26, was a college graduate now working in a local shipyard.
Witnesses said the man was lying on the bed while the woman was lying in the living room when rescuers broke in. The son was found motionless in his own room.
Police cordoned off the entrance to their 21-storey building as evidences were collected. Investigation into the case is continuing.
