Faulty signals delay Metro commuters
A signal system glitch slowed the operation of Metro Line 11 this morning, delaying thousands of commuters for at least 10 minutes, Shanghai Metro said on its official Weibo microblog.
The problem struck the line between the Nanxiang Station and Wuwei Road Station, forcing the Metro operator to prolong train intervals.
Shanghai Metro announced the malfunction at 9:04am on Weibo and posted an update at 9:23am, saying the line had resumed normal operation, but other Weibo users still complained about the delays.
