LOCAL fishing fans will soon get weather tips before setting out on trips as Shanghai weathermen plan to create a new fishing index, forecasting air pressure, wind, humidity and temperatures.
The index will be published before May, ahead of the World Expo to be held in the city, today's jfdaily.com said.
Shanghai Meteorological Bureau is soliciting public suggestions at the e-mail address qxfw@smb.gov.cn.
The bureau is also considering creating another two indexes for morning exercise and skincare after suggestions by citizens.
It will start a real-time forecast on its Website this year for catastrophic weather, sending alerts to 1,536 local communities.
