'Fire' at subway station is prank by schoolboys
SEVERAL fire engines responded to what turned out to be a prank by two schoolboys, who falsely reported a blaze at a downtown subway station.
Parents of the two teenagers were warned after the boys phoned in the report of a fire at a Metro Line 8 station on December 14, Metro Police said yesterday. Officers said they had talked with the parents of a 12-year-old boy, surnamed Lin, and a 13-year-old boy, surnamed Wang, demanding strengthened education, after the false alarms. The boys said they played the trick "just for fun."
