Fire destroys 3 stalls, no casualty reported
A fire burned down three stalls in a wet market in the city's Zhabei District early this morning but no casualties were reported, according to a report on xinmin.cn.
The fire broke out around 1am in the food market on Tanjiaqiao Road and it was put out 30 minutes later by firefighters.
Nearby residents said they woke to choking smokes and saw flames leaping up from the stalls. Two parked scooters were reduced to skeletons.
Firefighters said the blaze might be caused by short circuit but the investigation is still ongoing.
