Fire erupts atop cooling tower

A FIRE broke out yesterday on a cooling tower on top of the Shanghai Broadcasting Building, which is under construction next to the Shanghai Oriental Broadcasting Station in Changning District. No injuries were reported.
Heavy smoke began to pour out at 3:15pm, and the fire, which burned an area no more than 10 square meters, was put out within half an hour, according to police. The cause was still under investigation.
