First cabbie suspended for smoking

A taxi driver was fined and suspended for smoking in a taxi - the first local cabbie to receive such punishment after the city started a crackdown on smoking at public places this May.
The driver of Qiangsheng Taxi Company said he felt tired after hours of working and wanted to have a smoke to relax.
However, the scene was recorded and exposed by city media.
The cabbie said he regretted his misconduct.
But the traffic watchdog has found it is relatively difficult to seize smoking drivers as they usually blamed it on passengers.
