First city radio festival to kick off in Oct

The first Shanghai Radio Festival will be held from October 15 to 24 to offer audience a series of interactive events, officials said today.

According to Wang Zhiping, an official with Shanghai Media Group, the festival pays tribute to the history of radio industry and explores new possibilities to develop and innovate in the future.

During the festival, a new media summit forum will be hosted to discuss the new opportunities and challenges to radio.

Creative radio programs from all over the world will be honored on October 16. Award-winning programs will be displayed on local radio channels.

Interactive photo and art exhibition will also be presented for local audience to learn about the history and charm of radio.

Audience can also participate in a live radio show at K11 Art Mall and understand how a radio program is running.

The festival will also offer charity film screenings for people who have defective vision. Famous radio anchors will be invited to narrate and interpret the movies.
