Fog halts ships
A DENSE fog near the city's sea area, which started Wednesday, stranded at least 90 international cargo ships yesterday, according to the port immigration police.
The fog, the most severe so far this year, reduced visibility to less than 200 meters. Officials with the city's Waigaoqiao Port said they issued an alert calling for all ships passing through the area to anchor immediately.
