Foreign student deported for stealing

A man from West Asia was detained for 15 days for stealing in a local bar and was deported yesterday, the Shanghai Exit & Entry Administration said today.
The 24-year-old foreign student at a local university went to a bar on Nanjing Road W. on December 22. Seeing a well dressed man sitting next to him order a lot, he assumed the man was rich and began to wait for his chance.
Seeing the man was reading a menu, he stole his bag and left the bar immediately. He put the bag in his home, then returned to the bar pretending nothing had happened. But he was soon caught there as the victim had already called police.
The Exit & Entry Administration said the man came to study in China in 2009 and spent almost all his money last month.

The Exit & Entry Administration said the man came to study in China in 2009 and spent almost all his money last month.
