Foreign woman detained for shoplifting

A FOREIGN woman has been detained for 15 days after stealing two pairs of shoes and a bag worth 2,097 yuan (US$307) from a Zara shop.
The woman, identified only as Lanna, was attracted by the latest styles in a Zara shop in Xizang Road during her trip to Shanghai. She put two pairs of shoes and a bag into her backpack and fled the shop, Labor Daily reported today.
Guards in the shop caught Lanna when her stolen goods triggered a door alarm, and sent her to a police station.
