Former company exec charged with taking bribes
A FORMER electrical company boss has been charged with taking bribes, Shanghai People’s Procuratorate said on its official Weibo account today.
Li Yaoxin, former chairman of the Board of Supervisors of the state-owned Shanghai INESA Group, was accused of providing help to other individuals or companies by taking advantage of his position in exchange for huge sums of assets since 2000.
He was investigated by the city’s anti-graft body for suspected violations in September 2016.
Li was the deputy director of Shanghai Development and Reform Commission in 2008. The following year, he became the director of Changning District.
From 2013 to 2016, he was director and deputy Party chief of Shanghai Economic and Information Commission.
