Four dead in suburban crash

FOUR people died and another five were injured this morning when a passenger van crashed into a cement mixing vehicle in the suburban Songjiang District.
The accident happened at around 8:10am on the Shenzhuan highway, police said.
The trapped passengers in the van were later sent to a local hospital.
Four of the passengers were pronounced dead. One of the injured was still in a serious condition while the other four injured were in stable conditions, said district government officials.
The two vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the accident happened, officials said.
