Free tickets, souvenirs await Expo visitors

THE retrospective show on the World Expo 2010 will be closed from Sunday to next Wednesday as people celebrate the Spring Festival that falls on Monday this year.

Visitors to the memorial exhibition in the former Urban Footprint Pavilion in Puxi can get a free ticket if they buy two 30-yuan tickets after the show reopens, an official said today.

Visitors can get free tickets through February 6, said Liu Xiuhua, director of the Expo Museum, which is in charge of the exhibition.

More than 14,000 exhibits collected from more than 200 Expo pavilions are on display and a 3-D movie about the world fair Shanghai hosted is shown in the exhibition that runs until the end of this year.

Liu said the Saudi Arabia Pavilion, also known as the Moon Boat, will stay open during the Spring Festival. Visitors can get limited edition souvenirs if they visit the pavilion during the festival.
