Fudan management student injured after being stabbed by classmate

It wasn't the kind of Christmas a woman surnamed Gu was expecting.

On Thursday evening at around 8pm, a man surnamed Wang, 45, stabbed Gu, 31, with a knife after a bitter quarrel. Both of them are students from School of Management of Fudan University, police said.

Wang was later detained by the police, while Gu was rushed to the hospital. Wang admitted to the crime and admitted that the two had a tiff that turned deadly. Wang hails from Wuhan in central China’s Hubei Province and Gu is from Shanghai’s Chongming Island.
