Fund-raising event held for girl with leukemia

A 12-year-old girl with leukemia is waiting for a fund-raising event in Jing'an District so she will have enough money to pay for treatment.
Zhang Yali, from a poverty-stricken family near Beijing, has already had chemotherapy, but she still needs further treatment costing 300,000 yuan (US$48,960). Her family can not afford her medical expenses.
Fashion brand NuoMi and Design Republic co-hosted a charity event today at Design Republic's outlet on Jiangning Road to help cover Zhang's medical expenses.
Lunch and dinner tickets were sold for the event with all proceeds going to Zhang's medical treatment. Meanwhile, NuoMi hosted a pre-fall fashion show and 20 percent of sales from today will be given to Zhang. Donation boxes were also set up.
Today's event ends at 9:30pm. Drop by at 511 Jiangning Road and show Zhang you care.
