Funeral theft

ELEVEN flower baskets were stolen from outside a residential complex on Tianlin Road in Xuhui District early Thursday morning. The flowers were due to be delivered to a funeral. A man surnamed Zhang said the flowers had been sent by his relatives and were meant to be taken to his brother's funeral on Thursday morning. Members of Zhang's family were awake at the time of the theft, keeping a round-the-clock vigil at their second-floor home, but no one heard anything.
