Gao returns to China's Got Talent show
Chinese composer, songwriter and film director Gao Xiaosong, who was released from jail last week after serving a six-month sentence for drunk driving, will continue to sit as a judge for China's Got Talent reality show, the program producer said today.
The outspoken judge attended the show's elimination rounds at Shanghai Concert Hall today together with local stand-up comedian Zhou Libo and popular TV hostess Ni Ping.
He will also shoot a public service ad against drunk driving in cooperation with Shanghai traffic police.
Gao told the media that he was not yet well-prepared for the public limelight.
"I am grateful to so many people who didn't abandon me," Gao said. "Actions speak louder than words. I will make up for my misconduct by producing more and better works in music and film."
