GHANA Pavilion celebrates its National Pavilion Day today with an afternoon performance in Africa Square.
The pavilion theme is "Garden Cities," and the exhibition emphasizes conservation of the environment as part of urban development and healthy interaction between urban and rural areas.
The richly colored pavilion displays the West African features of Ghana's cities and the development of rural and urban areas.
Entering the pavilion, visitors see the country's famous structure, the Gate of Freedom and Justice. On each side are handcrafted carvings in distinct West African style.
Decoration on the gate reproduces typical Ghanian houses.
Exhibitions feature holiday resorts, famous arts, masks and statuary, ethnic costumes, textiles, herbal medicine and other aspects of culture.
