TWO men have been detained for recruiting foreign women to work as prostitutes, the Shanghai Exit-Entry Administration said yesterday. The suspects, surnamed Xie and Gu, gave out leaflets in Eastern Europe to persuade young girls to "work" in China. They were caught last month at a hotel on Sinan Road.
Three women and five clients were punished with 15-day detentions and 500 yuan (US$73) fines.
