Glass Falls From 29th Floor
THE glass exterior of the 29th floor of a building in Putuo District "exploded" yesterday afternoon.
Witnesses said pieces fell "like rain" down to a nearby snack bar, causing terrified diners to drop their chopsticks and flee. No one was injured in the incident.
The property management company of the building, which is at the crossroad of Caoyang Road and Zhongshan Road N., said the glass burst because of the hot weather.
