A CHAUFFEUR who stole deluxe cigarettes and gold bars worth nearly 150,000 yuan (US$23,543) from his boss was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan for larceny yesterday by the city's Zhabei District People's Court. The 29-year-old convict, named Lu Ping, stole 37 cartons of Chunghwa cigarettes - a famous brand - from his boss' car trunk.
