Guard jailed for attempted rape

A hotel security guard who attempted to rape a woman guest was jailed two and a half years by Changning District People's Court.
The victim, a young teacher from Jiangxi Province, went to the city with a school tourist group to visit the World Expo on July 10. When the group came to the hotel, the teacher attracted the attention of the security guard surnamed Liu, who later pretended to offer service and entered the woman's room that night and tried to rape her when she was alone in the room.
