HK comedian to bring his signature elements to local farce troupe's new absurd drama

SHANGHAI Farce Troupe will present an original absurd drama "Zero Hero" from November 5 to 8 at the Shanghai People Theater.

Helmed by famous Hong Kong stage actor, comedian and director Chim Sui-man, the play tells a story of two young men whose lives become out of control after a series of weird experiences.

Being trapped in a strange village of a desert, they have to depend on lies to solve the crisis.

Chim will bring his distinctive stage elements of humor, physical movement and fashion to the show.

According to Qian Cheng, deputy director of Shanghai Farce Troupe, the show's script is written by Xia Tianheng, a young talented scriptwriter of the troupe.

"It took us a lot of time to revise the script," said Qian. "With a perspective from young persons, we hope that the story about humanity and emotions can appeal to a larger young audiences."
