HK test finds DEHP in 99%

Hong Kong Baptist University has confirmed that research conducted there last September, checking blood samples from 200 people, found 99 percent tested positive for DEHP.
This indicates that Hong Kong citizens are exposed to DEHP. While the level is very low, the research suggests the chemical may be present in food and is absorbed without awareness.
The university also conducted an experiment on mice and discovered those exposed to DEHP mostly produced female offspring, while male offspring tended to have small reproductive organs, according to local reports.
