Han: Crackdown on traffic offenses 'just a beginning'
MORE legal instruments for combating traffic offenses should be rolled out as soon as possible, Shanghai Party Chief Han Zheng said yesterday during an inspection of the ongoing citywide campaign aiming at better road manners.
“Let’s believe in it that Shanghai will take the lead in addressing traffic offenses in the whole country by the joint efforts of both local residents and police,” he said.
One month into the effort so far, Han said it’s “just a beginning.”
“It takes long-term work to reduce traffic offenses and enhance the residents’ awareness of laws and rules,” he said.
