Heavy rain, gale forecast for today

Heavy rain, lightning and gale are forecast for today, ending a streak of scorching days.
Most downtown areas and suburban districts including Songjiang, Minhang, Jiading and Baoshan will experience heavy winds of scale 7-9, and precipitation of 30-40 millimeters per hour.
The mercury will be between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius, according to Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
But the air quality was better today with AQI under 90, falling in the scale of “Good”.
The temperature is set to rise to 34 degrees Celsius tomorrow, but the weekend will be under 31 degrees Celsius.
