Highway collision kills 1, injures 8 in Pudong

ONE died and eight were slightly injured when a Shanghai bus crashed with a truck on Highway S2 near Xinsiping Road in Pudong this morning, according to Xinmin.cn.

A bus passenger posted photos of the accident on Weibo soon after a Longgang Express bus hit a truck at 11:36am.

Traffic police, firefighters and first-aid medics rushed to the site as soon as police received a distress call at 11:51.

Traffic has been restored in the highway section affected by the accident and police are still investigating the cause of the mishap.
