SHANGHAI police are hunting for a hit-and-run driver in black car with a Jiangsu number plate who knocked down an elderly woman at 10:15am yesterday near Zhabei Park in Zhabei District.
The woman suffered injuries to her head and the legs, but these were not life-threatening, said the Shanghai No. 10 People's Hospital. The woman was walking on a zebra crossing at the intersection of Gonghexin Road and Luochuan Road E. when she was struck by the speeding car. The car windshield was shattered by the impact, said witnesses.
