GUO Jinfeng, a domestic helper, was arrested yesterday for allegedly swindling 48,000 yuan (US$7,015) from her employer.
Guo, 51, was hired by an old man surnamed Yin in August 2006. She told Yin she was the niece of the director of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau. She asked to borrow 35,000 yuan on October 2006. Guo later promised to get Yin's grandson a place in the Shanghai Police College and Yin gave her another 13,000 yuan.
