THE hornet nest hanging outside a high-rise in Zhabei District was removed in an hour yesterday with the help of 10 firefighters who used high-pressure water sprayers to break up the nest.
The basketball-size nest was found in October outside 258 Zhijiang Road M. The nest was hanging under the external unit of an air conditioner on the sixth floor. Winter is best for removing such nests as they are less active.
