Infant stoned to death, dumped to grove after being abducted from restaurant by ex-worker

A 10-month-old baby kidnapped from a restaurant in Jiaxing City in east China’s Zhejiang Province has been killed, local police said Wednesday.
Wang Wenlian, 45, a former worker at the Chuanfu hotpot restaurant, said he had a grudge against his former boss and colleagues. On Tuesday afternoon, he planned a chat with his old colleagues and seized a chance to carry away the child of a relative of the restaurant’s owner.
When the baby kept crying, Wang told police, he got angry and killed the infant with his hands and with stones, then dumped it in a grove, the City Express reported.
The baby was found in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Wang was later nabbed in the local Tanghui sub-district, police said.
A further police investigation is ongoing.
