THE ticket discounts railway passengers will enjoy this coming year from repeal of compulsory insurance will be small.
Shanghai riders on bullet trains to Beijing will see a 2 yuan (32 US cent) discount - the second-class ticket will be lowered to about 553 yuan from 555 yuan. Riders to Nanjing and Hangzhou will save 0.5 yuan.
