Jacky Cheung to start tour on New Year's Eve in Shanghai
HONG KONG's pop singer Jacky Cheung, also known as "God of Songs" in China, chose the Expo Culture Center in Shanghai as the first leg of his World Tour Concert this year.
The tour will started by a countdown music gala, where the 48-year-old Cheung will sing the songs of his new album "Private Comer" on the last day of 2010 and celebrate the new year with his fans, reported today's Shanghai Morning Post.
His concert orgainzer confirmed the news yesterday but didn't reveal more details.
Cheung started his singing career in 1984 and has sold millions of albums. His hit songs, including "Goodbye Kiss" which was adapted by a Danish pop band into "Take me to your heart," have won fans around Asia and numerous awards.
