A PIANO tutor surnamed Zhu was sentenced seven years in prison for stealing a luxury watch and some other items, valued at more than 280,000 yuan (US$41,000), from the host, Xuhui District People's Court ruled yesterday.
Zhu met the victim surnamed Li online in August 2008 and began to teach Li's four-year-old daughter piano at her home twice a week. On December 19, 2008, Zhu was attracted by the woman's watch and stole it.
