Jing’an a magnet for human resources companies
Twelve human resources companies settled in Jing’an in the first half of the year, taking the total number of such firms in the district to over 330, local authorities said on Wednesday.
They include Leadervc, which began in 2002 in Nanjing, capital of neighboring Jiangsu Province, to serve talent around the country and which has registered businesses abroad.
Company officials visited Shanghai several times last year to look for development opportunities and were attracted by the first national industrial park devoted to the human resources industry in Jing’an.
“Jing’an District’s plan to become a global service center is extremely attractive to us and we believe it will bring more encouragement and convenience for us to develop in the global market,” said Xu Suan, the company’s chairman.
“I think Jing’an has become a platform to serve international talent and a window for overseas enterprises to land on the Chinese mainland and for local firms to go international.”
The company also signed an agreement with Jing’an’s human resources and social security bureau to set up a cooperation center for international talent services. Under the agreement, the two parties will promote international talent communication, education, training and services to help enterprises with international development.
Also on Wednesday, Suzhou Creek Investment Holdings Co and Hong Kong-Shanghai Alliance Holdings Ltd signed a strategic cooperation agreement and launched a Shanghai-Hong Kong center for cooperation in human resources services.
Suzhou Creek Investment Holdings Co will be responsible for regional industry guidance, enterprise services and attracting investment, while Hong Kong-Shanghai Alliance Holdings will have its Central Park Jing’an office building prioritize human resources service enterprises when leasing office space.
Cho-Fai Yao, president of the Hong Kong-Shanghai Economic Development Association and the chairman of Hong Kong-Shanghai Alliance Holdings, said the center would boost communication between talent in Shanghai and Hong Kong, and bring more opportunities for young people in Hong Kong to start a business or find a job.
Wang Guangrong, director of the Jing’an Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, said the district is creating a new way to develop the industry, featuring the “Internet of Everything,” from this year, helping promote high-quality development of the human resources service industry via a combination of online and offline.
Jing’an launched its plan to become a global service provider in June last year.
The following month, it established a global human resources service sharing center in the Suzhou Creek area.
