Kazakhstan rocks
KAZAKHSTAN celebrates National Pavilion Day today with an entertainment gala at both Asia Square and the Expo Center.
More than 60 dancers, musicians, singers, actors and actresses will give a two-hour show in the evening at the Expo Center.
The country's famous boy band Ulutay will perform.
"From folk music to rock 'n' roll and R&B, the audience will see a traditional Kazakhstan as well as a new one," says Raikhan Dilmagambtova, director of the pavilion.
A fashion show of ancient Kazakh costumes and modern design will also be presented.
The 1,000-square-meter pavilion is themed "Astana -- the Hearth of Eurasia" and features a dozen LED screens, interactive games and a 4D cinema on the second floor.
The pavilion is next to the Japan and Uzbekistan pavilions.
