Kiddie ride maker shut down

CITY authorities yesterday sealed off more than 50 kiddie rides made at an illegal warehouse operation in Zhabei District in the wake of a young boy losing three fingers on Sunday after his hand was stuck in a kiddie ride in Pudong.
The warehouse had no license, said officials of the Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Administrative Bureau. òThe case is under investigation and the warehouse will be punished based on the results,ó said a bureau official.
