THREE people who posted fake offers to buy kidneys for transplant and cheated five people out of 5,300 yuan (US$878) collected as fees to match donor and recipient got sentences from seven to eight months in prison for fraud, the Fengxian District People's Court said yesterday. The criminal trio, surnamed Wang, He and Yang, said they heard that trading kidneys was lucrative, but they did not dare to actually become involved in the illicit business.
