Killer surrenders after 20 years on run
A SHANGHAI man who killed his lover's husband has surrendered to police after 20 years on the run across China.
Fengxian People's Procuratorate has approved the arrest of Zhu Yongjin, 62, on a manslaughter charge, today's Oriental Morning Post reported.
Zhu developed an extramarital relationship with his colleague in 1988 but her husband discovered the affair a year later, forcing Zhu to suspend the relationship.
On July 11 that year, Zhu sneaked into his lover's home and killed her husband.
He then fled to Shenyang City in northeast China, Fuzhou and Guangzhou cities in south China as well as Zhejiang Province in east China.
The pressure of guilt led him to surrender last month, the report said.
