Local colleges build innovation center for big data technology and application

AN Innovation Center for Big Data Technology and Application on Wednesday was jointly launched by several local universities, including Shanghai Jiao Tong, Fudan, East China University of Science and Technology and Shanghai University.
Based on the data science research center at Jiao Tong, the new organization will closely connect with government and industry, such as the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Information, Minhang District government, Shanghai Data Exchange Corp, Huawei and Ctrip, to integrate their resources and promote efficient cooperation between industry, education and research.
It is also expected to promote the development of big data industry in Shanghai, and to build up a public platform for sharing big data of government affairs and a community for incubating big data apps.
