Lottery center seeks jackpot winner before deadline

A race against the clock is on to find a 7.345 million yuan (US$1.18 million) lottery winner as the deadline to claim the prize is Sunday.
The Shanghai Welfare Lottery Center said today it has opened a 24-hour hotline at 13916743987 for the winner in the hope that he or she turns up to claim the jackpot.
The winning ticket was sold on July 24 on Lanxi Road in Putuo District.
According to lottery management regulations, the money will be given to the social welfare fund if not claimed before the deadline.
The winner can go to the lottery center’s office on 321 Sichuan Road M to claim the prize.
A 10 million yuan jackpot went unclaimed in the city in 2011.
