Man attempts rape of neighbor

A MAN has been detained for alleged attempted rape, police said yesterday.
The suspect, Wang Yong, sneaked into the victim's home through an unlocked door on April 17. He threatened her with an electric stick but fled when the stick set off flames on the bed sheet, police said. He was nabbed on Monday. Wang lived in the victim's building and said he fell in love with her, but never spoke a word to her.
