Man collapses, dies
A MAN collapsed at Nanjing Road West Station on Line 2 yesterday morning and died after being sent to hospital. The incident happened about 9am at the busy station when he was seen collapsing at a ticket turnstile. People in the station alerted Metro staff, who called the police.
A passenger with medical knowledge performed first-aid on the man, said a station employee surnamed Zhou. The man, about 30 years old, was later taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. It was not clear what caused his death.
