Man detained for stealing bulldogs worth over 500,000 yuan from pet stores

A man in Qingpu District has been detained for stealing five bulldogs from a pet shop, which are worth over 500,000 yuan (US$77,650), police said on Thursday.
Police found one of the dogs in the suspect's rented apartment in Zhaotun community after a woman reported the man refused to return her lost husky as promised.
The bulldogs were found later inside the apartment.
