Man dies in rooftop fall
A middle-aged man died this morning after falling from the top of a wet market building in Baoshan District, Shanghai police said. The man, who was not named, was allegedly pushed from the fourth-floor roof, according to witnesses.
The cause of the fall was unclear but the possibility of homicide was not excluded, police said.
The case was still under investigation this afternoon.
The fall happened about 6:30am in Yangtai Road near Yangxin Road. The victim was said to have died immediately after the fall, witnesses said.
The identity of the dead man was unclear yet, police said, as no one at the scene knew him. He had only a string of keys in his pocket, police said.
